Theme and Subtheme
In this year CEI Conference, we present the theme of "natural & cultural heritage" with 5 subtheme of :
- Coastal Ecosystem
- Mountain Ecosystem
- River Ecosystem
- Urban Ecosystem
- Rural Ecosystem
Project Presentation
The project presentation includes research projects or social actions related to the CEI 2023 theme. The participants must prepare presentation slide, which is collected by the committee upon the arrival. Project presentations will be conducted in small groups as determined by the committee.
CEI Talks
The CEI Talks is an event that will be attended by all CEI participants, both teachers and students. In this event, experts and practitioners who are in line with the theme of CEI Talks will become resource persons. This event aims to expand the scientific insight and network of CEI participants.
Field Trip
The Field Trip will be divided into three sessions: Cultural Trip, Natural Trip, and Urban Trip. The participants will explore the natural and cultural heritage of Yogyakarta. In addition, in the Urban Trip session, the participants will explore the city center of Yogyakarta which is famous for its combination of traditional and modern culture.
Fun Market
The Fun Market event will be held in the evening, where all CEI 2023 participants will showcase the specialties of the countries, such as culinary, culture, games and fashion. In this event, participants can also exchange souvenirs from each country.
Cultural Perfomance
One of the most awaited events at the CEI conference every year is the Cultural Performance. In this event, each participating country will showcase the respective cultures through songs, dances, and stories. We will also see interesting costumes from each country. Every year, this event leaves a lasting impression.
Role of Youth
The role of youth as caretakers is a highlight of the CEI annual conference. This time, we will strengthen the role of youth as caretakers by encouraging CEI participants to create a collaborative project called the CEI Global Project 2024. This project will be implemented in their respective countries while still communicating and collaborating in a joint working group agreed upon during the conference. The goal is to implement a long-term joint global project so as to make real changes to the environment in their respective countries with the initiation of young caretakers. We hope that innovations will be born from the CEI Global Project 2024.
What is a Project?
Each team must pursue a solution to an environmental or sustainable issue in their respective countries, which should be related to the conference theme “Natural and Cultural Heritage” and at least one of the sub themes: Coastal ecosystem, Mountain ecosystem. Urban ecosystem and Rural ecosystem.
To help the team prepare for the project, the guideline below can be used as your reference, we call it FADRI (find-out, analyse, design and decide, implement and reflections).
